Hamilton City Libraries has six libraries located in Garden Place, St Andrews, Glenview, Chartwell, Hillcrest and Dinsdale.
Hamilton City Libraries is your place to relax, enjoy, think, and send your mind somewhere. There is something for everyone with more than 400,000 items on offer, including a great range of books, DVDs, CDs, eCollections, archives, magazines, newspapers and databases.
As well as enjoying our collections, you can join in one of our holiday programmes, bring the young ones to a Storytime or Wriggle and Rhyme session use the internet for free on our computers, or bring along your laptop and use our free wifi.

Membership
There is no charge to join Hamilton City Libraries if you live in Hamilton City or Waikato District, or if you pay rates to Hamilton City Council, no matter where you may live. If you are a tertiary student living in Hamilton City or Waikato District or a student boarding at schools in these areas it is also free for you to join.
Visitors staying in Hamilton City can enrol as members for the period of their visit without charge for a period of up to 2 months.
If you live outside these areas you are welcome to become a member, upon paying an annual subscription fee.
