King Edward Park

This beautiful century old terraced park lies on the border of Spring Hill and the City, with the iconic Jacobs Ladder staircase leading from upper to lower levels.

Toohey Forest

Frew Park

Brisbane City Council rejuvenated the former Milton Tennis Centre and Milton Bowl site into a 3.5 hectare inner city parkland. The site is located between Frew Street and Milton Road, Milton.

Frew Park was completed  in 2014 and includes the Roy Emerson Tennis Centre, The Arena play space, Wendy Turnbull Green, picnic areas and more.

Kalinga Park

Driving through the gates of heritage-listed Kalinga Park, north of Brisbane, you are instantly surrounded by a multitude of well-established trees, plenty of green open spaces and a playground which is guaranteed to entertain the children for hours. The timber forts, which resemble trees houses, are adorned with many opportunities to climb (think nets, poles, bars, ladders, steps and climbing wall). Those wanting to exert a little more energy can kick a ball on the large grassed areas surrounding the playground, cycle, walk or run along the paths throughout the park, ‘shoot some hoops’, play tennis or make use of the outdoor gym equipment.

Lower Moora Park

This is more than just a fabulous playground, it is day trip material for some Free Fun for Kids in Brisbane. The playground is possibly one of the best in Brisbane and with a sand base and rubber flooring it is a fort paradise.
