MV Takitimu – Historic Boat Ride Gisborne Harbour

The vessel is available for hire for excursions, private functions, tourism, conservation works and SAR when required. There are breath taking views of Poverty Bay and the boat goes right up to Young Nics Head, weather permitting. They have special life jackets for youngsters, so this makes for a great family excursion while you are visiting Gisborne.

The Cost per adult is $20 and Child is $10 (under age 12 years). You can just rock on up 10 minutes before 2pm to go for the boat ride or call Brian on (06) 867 3541 or 027 474 9360 to make a booking and find out if it is riding on the day.

Surf School teaches all ages, groups, beginner to intermediate surfers: everybody is welcome! Surf Boards, Wetsuits, the best surf venue on the day, qualified and caring surf coaches. We use variety of tried and tested techniques that help both Adults and Kids get up and riding waves in no time!! Lessons can be tailored to your level to ensure the best experience possible. We have fully qualified Female and Male coaches to help you best ride waves. A range of boards and sizes of wetsuits-from Kids to XXL including womens. We have a variety of lesson options and pricing. You can surf in a group with other people or book a private lesson to cater for your specific requirements. All ages and all walks of life are welcome! Open everyday, our goal is to share the joy of surfing with you! Waterproof camera’s available to capture the fun and thrill of wave riding.
