When to Go in Madrid. Spring and fall are ideal times to visit Madrid. May and October are the best months, in terms of weather and crowds. In my view, however, the balmy month of May (with an average temperature of 16°C/61°F) is the most glorious time for making your own discovery of the Spanish capital.

Annual Weather Averages. July is the hottest month in Madrid with an average temperature of 76°F (25°C) and the coldest is January at 42°F (6°C) with the most daily sunshine hours at 11 in August. The wettest month is April with an average of 50mm of rain.
