South Perth Foreshore
The South Perth Foreshore is an iconic tourist destination with views of Perth city across the Swan River. For those looking for something active, there’s plenty of open space to kick a football, play cricket, fly a kite, walk your dog or work up a sweat on the walking or cycle paths. Access to the river is available at Coode Street beaches and boat ramp, Mends Street beach and at Mill Point near the Narrows Bridge. The Scented Gardens at the western end of Sir James Mitchell Park near Mends Street offer a quiet escape to sit and relax, as do the lakes area near Douglas and Hurlingham Avenues. There are picnic tables, barbecues, toilets, cafes and four children’s playgrounds on the foreshore.
