5G Samsung Galaxy S10 Will Be Available For Purchase April 5

Last month when Samsung launched the Galaxy S10, they also announced that there would be a 5G variant of the handset. There was no mention of when the phone will be launched, but according to Yonhap News (via PhoneArena), Samsung has confirmed the phone’s availability for the 5th of April.

Unfortunately this launch date will only be for South Korea which means that it is still unclear when it might make its way stateside. However the fact that it will be available in April means that it probably shouldn’t be too long after that that the phone will find its way to other markets around the world.

Samsung also does not appear to be taking pre-orders for the handset. Instead the phone will be going on sale on the 5th of April and customers who want to get their hands on it will be able to purchase it that day. There is no word on how much the phone will cost either, but analysts have predicted that it might be around the 1.5 million won (~$1,332) range.

This is to be expected given that it uses new 5G technology, and the fact that it is bigger and has more cameras than the Galaxy S10+. For those in the US, Verizon had previously confirmed that they will be the first to offer the handset when it does launch stateside so we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
