Green paint : for me, I avoided the petrochemicals !

Most often, the painting is the result of the petrochemicals and heavy chemicals. In the Face of this questioning, the first thing you should do is to choose the paint without solvent. However, it is not necessarily free of toxic substances. Looking more closely at its composition, it may contain chemical additives, biocides, and even heavy metals to improve at lower cost properties.

In me, so we applied on our walls of Pure painting & Paint. We did not need to prepare our walls to the extent that the latter were in good condition and free of cracks.

We had been advised to apply the paint using rollers microfiber 14 mm for the ceilings and 10-12 mm for the walls. In the home improvement stores close to home, we have not had the choice. So we all applied to the microfibre roller 12 mm and this without a hitch.

Like all paints, it has to be mixed before being applied to the wall. However, because of its composition, chemical-free, Pure painting & Wallpaper needs to be mixed more important to ensure the homogeneity of the product prior to application. For this, we used a turbine with a paint set at the end of a drill. Then we left our diy tool work.

In the living room, we have directly applied the tint Pen (N° 2 velvety) on the walls, and white (N° 1 mat) ceiling.

In the bedroom, we have previously sanded the walls with sandpaper grit 120. The sanding is a job of preparing the wall to facilitate the hanging of the painting. It is not important because in the living room, the two layers of the paint have been more than sufficient to get the rendering to work as expected. But the room had suffered more than work, so we have preferred to take more precaution.

Side room – bathroom, so we opted for a basement light blue carried out with the tint Oxygen and enhanced by a black border. The remaining surface of the wall has been painted white like the ceiling.

These works have truly been carried out without hitch or difficulty that if we had used a paint with chemical components.

We even decided to paint a cupboard door in wood. To facilitate the accession, we have previously scratched with sandpaper grain 240. Again, the success of the operation was simple and the result very satisfactory.
