LG V50 ThinQ Breaks Cover In Leaked Render

Samsung may be hogging the limelight these days due to the upcoming Galaxy S10 launch but many of its rivals will be headed to Barcelona in the following week to show off their latest devices. LG is one of them and the company’s much-awaited V50 ThinQ smartphone has now broken cover in a leaked render. As expected, it’s a 5G device.

It was reported previously that LG will be releasing a 5G smartphone on Sprint in the first half of this year. The press render comes courtesy of @evleaks who has a pretty solid track record with these things. The date on the render suggests that LG will be unveiling this device on February 24th. That’s when the company has its MWC press event scheduled for so it’s entirely possible.

There aren’t a lot of details about the specs at this point in time but it can be expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 platform with a vapor chamber cooling system, and a 4,000mAh battery.

A fingerprint sensor can be seen at the back in this render so it’s unlikely that the LG V50 ThinQ will be moving to an in-display fingerprint sensor like the Galaxy S10. It’s also not known for sure right now whether or not LG’s new device is going to feature a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
