Amazon Day Lets Prime Members Schedule Their Deliveries

We use a variety of products in our everyday lives, whether it be food items, personal care items, and so on. This means more often than not, we eventually run out of them and will need to replenish them. If you’re the sort that prefers doing all their shopping online, then Amazon might have a new feature that you might want to check out.

The company has recently launched what they are calling Amazon Day (not to be confused with Amazon Prime Day). Basically this is a new service aimed at Prime members where they will be able to schedule their deliveries. This means that Prime members can choose a day in the week and on that day, all their deliveries will be sent at once. If you know that that’s the only day you’ll be free to receive packages, then you can schedule all your deliveries for that day, instead of your orders arriving separately one at a time.

According to Maria Renz, Vice President, Delivery Experience at Amazon, “Amazon Day adds another level of convenience to the many shipping benefits Prime members already enjoy. Prime members can now choose to get their orders delivered together in fewer boxes whenever possible on the day that works best for them. We’ve been testing this program with a group of Prime members and Amazon Day has already reduced packaging by tens of thousands of boxes – a number that will only continue to grow now that the program is available to Prime members nationwide.”

Amazon has been trying to make themselves into a more sustainable company by reducing the number of boxes that they use, and as Renz states, this has resulted in tens of thousands of boxes saved to date.
