iPhone XS, XS Max Suffering From Animation Stutter Bug
Apple’s new iPhones are supposed to represent the best that the company has to offer in terms of hardware and technological advancements. They feature the most powerful chipset that Apple has to offer, but it seems that despite being as powerful as they are meant to be, some users are running into some stuttering issues on their phone.
According to reports posted on Apple’s forums (via 9to5Mac), it appears that some iPhone XS and XS Max owners are experiencing animation stuttering. This seems to occur when the phone has been left idle with static content on the foreground app for about 10 seconds to so, after which when users try to interact with it, they run into animation stuttering.
This means that in theory if you’re reading a website and aren’t touching or scrolling through the page, after 10 seconds or so the phone might stutter when you wake it up again. This seems to apply to pretty much all iPhone XS and XS Max units, even on devices that have been replaced, and also the demo units found in Apple’s stores.
It is unclear what could be causing the issue so we can’t say for sure if this is a hardware or software issue. In the meantime you can check out the video above if you’d like to get an idea of what this stuttering looks like in case you are unsure.
