Monday’s Jimmy Fallon Episode Shot Entirely On Galaxy S10+

As part of a broad ad deal that Samsung has signed with NBCUniversal, tonight’s episode of Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” has been shot entirely on the Galaxy S10+. Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone ups the ante in the camera department with an ultra-wide camera lens. Fallon will be highlighting the fact during this unconventional episode of his show.

The episode will be entirely different from what viewers are used to seeing on a daily basis. There won’t be an opening monologue or sit-downs with guests. Fallon will open tonight’s episode by informing viewers that it has been shot entirely on the Galaxy S10+ and that this episode will showcase some of his favorite spots in New York City.

Samsung’s vice president of marketing Patricio Paucar told Variety that this method of having a popular TV program showcase a product is better to capture viewers’ attention for new products “as opposed to showing them on screen in a commercial.”

So viewers will see Fallon being joined by announcer Steve Higgins and house band The Roots having a meal at Rao’s, Fallon delivering meatballs to the city’s firefighters, and the gang then visiting New York jazz club The Django. MMA superstar Conor McGregor will make an appearance as well and both he and Fallon will sing some tunes at New York Irish pub. Sounds like a fun night.
