Morrowind Goes Free To Celebrate Elder Scrolls’ 25th Anniversary

The Elder Scrolls series has been out for a long time. How long, you ask? 25 years, to be precise. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of this popular series, Bethesda is giving away Morrowind for free. The Elder Scrolls: Arena was the first game in this series and it was released back in 1994 for MS-DOS, an operating system that many born in the following years may not even be familiar with.

What fans would be most interested in finding out is when the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls 6 is going to arrive. Unfortunately, there has been little to no updates about that title so far. Hopefully, Bethesda is going to have more to say about it in the not too distant future.

Those who are interested in grabbing Morrowind for free can do so by logging into Bethesda.net and then using the code TES25TH-MORROWIND to claim a free copy. They will be required to download the Bethesda launcher, nonetheless.

In related news, players can take part in a free-to-play week for The Elder Scrolls Online from March 28th through April 3rd. They will also be able to access the Elsweyr Prologue which is a part of the Season of the Dragon storyline for free.
