Some iPad Pro Users Are Reporting Screen Stuttering Issues
Apple’s new iPad Pros are pretty expensive as far as laptops are concerned, but as such as they also pack some pretty high-end features, such as its beautiful 120Hz display. Unfortunately for some users, it appears that they are running into screen stuttering issues where the screen stutters while they scroll on the tablet, there are missed keystrokes, and in some cases certain touch gestures aren’t registered.
According to the description by user Flasch who posted on the MacRumors forum, “I bought a new 12.9″ iPad pro on the first available day last Wednesday. The o, k, and to a lesser extent i and j keys on the on-screen software keyboard consistently recognized touch with a click and change in colour of the key but the letter would often not appear in any program. For o in particular, it often required several attempts to make the letter register.”
Flasch then tried to return the tablet and get a new one, but unfortunately, it seems that exchanging the tablet for a new one didn’t do the trick because the new tablet exhibited similar issues. This problem has been echoed in multiple posts and threads across the internet. For the most part, the affected units seem to be the 2018 iPad Pro, but there are some who claim that it has affected the 2016 and 2017 models as well.
It is unclear as to what could be causing the problem, such as whether or not it is a hardware or software issue, but hopefully Apple is aware of the problem and that a fix is being worked on. In the meantime, you can check out the video above which shows some of the problems in action.
