Disc-Less Microsoft Xbox One S Seen In Leaked Image

It has been rumored for a few months now that Microsoft is working on a disc-less edition of the Xbox One S. Those who purchase one will thus rely only on digital downloads and use Microsoft’s other services like Xbox Game Pass. Some renders of the “Xbox One S All Digital” have now surfaced online, possibly giving us our first look at this console.

Not much else will be different about the console compared to a regular Xbox One S, save for the fact that this won’t have a disc drive, so you won’t be able to run disc-based games on it. Those who purchase it will only be able to play games that they have downloaded online.

The accompanying report mentions that Microsoft will ship this console with a 1TB hard drive, at least in Europe, and that the console will come pre-installed with copies of Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3, and Sea of Thieves so that players have something to play the moment they set up their Xbox One S All Digital.

Microsoft is yet to confirm when it’s going to announce this console but some reports suggest that this might happen in the coming week. It will be interesting to see how much this ends of costing and whether it would provide a noticeable discount compared to the regular Xbox One S.
