Microsoft’s Disc-Less Xbox One Could Arrive On May 7th

Countless reports and leaks have revealed that Microsoft does indeed have a disc-less version of the Xbox One S up its sleeve. This was first rumored a few months ago, that Microsoft would release a version of its Xbox One S console which will only be able to run digitally downloaded games since it won’t have a disc drive. According to a new report, this console is now expected to arrive by May 7th.

Leaked marketing images spotted by WinFuture reveal that Microsoft is going to make this console available, at least in Europe, on May 7th for €229. It may or may not be available in the United States before then. Microsoft will certainly offer it in its home country, that goes without saying.

The marketing images show that the console itself isn’t all that different when it comes to the design and even the functionality for that matter. It looks like a regular Xbox One S, save for the fact that it doesn’t have a Blu-ray disc drive.

Microsoft will ship the console with 1TB of internal storage and according to reports, the console may also come with three titles pre-installed out of the box. They may include Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves, and Minecraft.
