EA Shares Updated Visuals For Command & Conquer Remastered
Over the years, EA has released games related to their Command & Conquer franchise, such as a web version of the game and also a version for mobile. However, fans were pretty chuffed when last year, the company announced that they would be remastering some of the older versions of the game.
Given how great we’ve seen how some remasters look, like Capcom’s Resident Evil 2, safe to say that we are pretty excited to see what it could bring to the table. Thankfully, EA has decided to share some of their progress where in a post on Reddit, EA Producer Jim Vessella shared artwork of the upcoming Construction Yard building.
According to Vessella, “Now, if you’ve been reading our previous posts, our primary goal with the visual approach is to maintain the authenticity of the original in-game asset. It’s worth calling out that if there’s a conflict between the in-game asset, cinematic asset, or UI portrait, we’re always going to side with the in-game asset. That being said, if there are opportunities to pull in details from the cinematic footage to enhance an asset, we’ll do our best to incorporate those details.”
That being said, the bad news is that there is still no word on when the remastered Command & Conquer titles will be released, so we will just have to wait and see. In the meantime, hopefully, this artwork is enough to keep fans excited and interested.
