Apple Pulls 4K LG UltraFine Displays From Online Store

Several years ago, Apple discontinued its Thunderbolt displays. Instead, they turned to LG who started to make monitors specifically designed for Apple’s computers in the form of 4K and 5K UltraFine displays. However, it seems that maybe Apple’s own displays could be close to making a comeback.

According to a report from MacRumors, they have noticed that Apple has stopped selling the 4K LG UltraFine display on its website, where they have also pulled the listing for it. This is an odd thing to do because if it had been sold out, they would have kept the listing. As we said, this seems to suggest that maybe Apple’s own displays are making a comeback soon.

We had previously heard rumors that Apple could be looking to launch their own displays, and that one of the rumored models is a 31.6-inch 6K display. Now, this is just speculation on our part because for all we know, maybe the 4K model isn’t doing as well and Apple is simply focusing on the 5K version.

The display itself is still available for purchase outside of Apple, so it’s not as though it has been discontinued. Either way we’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime for those who want a 4K display, LG actually has a newer 4K UltraFine model, although this was not designed in partnership with Apple.
