Google Assistant’s ‘Tell Me A Story’ Feature Arrives On Smartphones
Google Assistant has a neat little feature called “Tell Me A Story” which will make story time with your kids more fun. This feature was previously limited to the Assistant on Google Home devices but the company is now expanding it to smartphones just in time for National Tell a Story Day.
The feature is quite literally what the sentence means. Why you give the “Tell Me A Story” command to Google Assistant, it will oblige and tell you a story. It’s as simple as that. The stories that it tells includes some classics such as Cinderella and the Little Red Riding Hood.
There are some newer and often more interactive stories as well about Lightning McQueen, Mickey Mouse, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to name a few. If you’re looking for bedtime stories specifically, just give it the “Hey Google, tell me a bedtime story” command and Assistant will tell a more appropriate story.
Those who are looking forward to access this feature on their smartphones, both iOS and Android, should keep in mind that they will require the latest version of the Google Play Books app. The feature is currently available in English for users in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and India.
