Avengers: Endgame is setting all kinds of box office records at the moment, and is on course to overtake James Cameron’s Avatar as the highest-grossing movie of all time. It took a whopping $1.2 billion in its opening weekend, which more than double the amount Star Wars: The Force Awakens managed in the same period.

As you can imagine, a big movie means big potential licencing deals, and Chinese firm Oppo has jumped in feet-first to create a phone which Avengers fans will die for. The Oppo F11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Edition (for that is its full name) is basically a spruced up version of the original F11 Pro, a mid-range device released earlier this year.

In terms of pure specs, it's the same phone as the F11 Pro – we've got a Mediatek Helio P70 processor, 48-megapixel camera, 16-megapixel pop-up selfie cam and a 4,000mAh battery. Thanks to that pop-up cam – the same type that is rumoured to feature in the upcoming OnePlus 7 (OnePlus and Oppo are owned by the same company) – the F11 Pro boasts a 6.53-inch 1080p LCD display that has no notch whatsoever. There's no flashy in-screen fingerprint sensor though (that's on the back), but we have got a headphone jack as well as 20W VOOC fast charging.

It's not a groundbreaking phone in terms of specs then, but Oppo has gone to town on customising the F11 Pro so Marvel fans will drool over it. As well as the Avengers logo on the back (and on the camera module), you get a custom wallpaper and a special badge in the box. The real star of the show is the optional case which comes with the device; it's made of faux leather and has Captain America's shield on the back, which folds out as a kickstand.

It's gorgeous, even if you're not a comic book fan, but the big issue here is that Oppo isn't selling the device in the west as yet. It was released in India via Amazon, selling for around $400 – that's for the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage model. Sadly, the phone has entirely sold out at the time of writing so getting hold of one is going to be tough, but nothing of any value is gained easily, right?
