Google Will (Almost) Give You A Pixel 3a In Exchange For Your iPhone

Google has recently announced their new Pixel 3a and 3a XL smartphones. These are Google’s mid-ranged offerings and they are priced starting at $400. Unsurprisingly, Google is trying to tempt iPhone users to make the switch from their iOS device to Android, and to do that the company is running a trade-in offer where customers could almost get a Pixel smartphone for free.

According to Google’s trade-in program, it seems that if you own a specced out iPhone XS Max, you will be able to get up to $600 in trade-in value (this might vary depending on the condition, but assuming it is in working condition with no damage to the screen, $600 is what you could get for it). This means that you could get yourself the Pixel 3a XL for free with some cash leftover.

Of course, it doesn’t really make sense to trade-in a phone that costs over $1,000 for a mid-range smartphone that uses 2018 tech, but the option is there for users if they want to take it. Google seems to be accepting a variety of iPhone models, but naturally the older the phone, the less it is worth.

However, if you do have an older iPhone lying around not in use, or if maybe you want to give Android a chance, then perhaps this trade-in deal can help ease the financial burden. Google is also accepting trade-ins for other phone brands so if you don’t own an Apple handset, not to worry, just head on over to Google’s website and see if your phone brand/model is listed. In the meantime, Google is expected to continue making affordable Pixel phones in the future, so if the Pixel 3a and 3a XL aren’t to your liking, you can always wait for next year’s model.
