Apple Has Stopped Selling LG’s UltraFine Displays In Their Stores

When Apple announced that they would stop making their own displays, it was kind of a bummer. While they weren’t exactly cheap, the fact that they were designed to look like the iMac did help with the consistency of its design. Instead, Apple teamed up with LG to launch a couple of 4K and 5K UltraFine displays designed specifically for Mac computers.

However, it seems that their partnership could have come to an end. According to MacRumors, they have discovered that Apple is no longer selling the 5K LG UltraFine display in their stores. The display has been listed as “Sold Out” and is also stated as being unavailable for pickup at Apple’s retail shops.

Now, it is entirely possible that it is what it seems, that it is simply sold out and that Apple will be restocking it in the future. However, when combined with an earlier report from last month in which the 4K LG UltraFine was no longer being sold, this has led to speculation that Apple could no longer be interested in selling LG’s monitors.

We have also heard rumors that Apple could be planning their own displays in the form of a 32-inch 6K monitor, thus fueling the speculation that Apple is phasing out LG’s monitors in favor of their own. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll have to wait and see how this one plays out.
