Battery Maker Energizer Has Created Some CRAZY Phones

Who knew, right?
Energizer is a name you'd most closely associated with batteries, but the company has, in recent years, branched out into the realm of smartphones. In fact, at this year's Mobile World Congress the company has 26 (count 'em) phones to show off, many of which are sporting serious impressive specs and tech.
Energizer will be adding to its Power Max, Ultimate, Energy, and Hardcase lines, with the former two being Android-based while the latter two are 'feature' phones. These focus on one key element and really run with it – one of the Power Max options has an 18,000 mAh battery. Sheesh.
However, it's the Android phones which are the most interesting. The Energizer Ultimate U620S Pop comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with no notch or cutout, and the screen reaches (almost) all of the edges, too. How has Energizer done this? A pop-up camera, of course. On the back, there's a triple-sensor array with a 16MP primary, 5MP secondary, and 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, a Helio P70 chipset from MediaTek is calling the shots, aided by 6GB of RAM and blessed with 128GB of storage. A 3,200 mAh battery provides the juice and the fingerprint scanner is located on the power button, like on Sony's phones.
Sitting beneath that model is the Energizer Ultimate U630S Pop, which has the less powerful Helio P22 chipset and 4GB of RAM, along with 64GB of storage. The battery is larger at 3,500 mAh battery. The screen is also weaker; it's a 6.2-inch HD+ panel.
These are pretty exciting phones when you consider the company that's releasing them, but Energizer also has the U650S, U620S, and U570S. The U650S has a 6.5-inch HD+ display, Helio P22 chipset, 4GB RAM/128GB storage, and a 3,500mAh battery. The U620S (the names are based on the screen size, in case you were wondering) has a 6.2-inch HD+ display, MediaTek MT6765 chipset, 4GB RAM/64GB storage, along with a 4,000 mAh battery. At the low end we have the U570S, which has a 5.7-inch HD+ display, a quad-core processor, 32GB of storage, a 3,000 mAh battery.
Of course, Energizer isn't the one actually making these phones – they all come from French company Avenir Telecom, which has been making phones under the Energizer banner for quite some time now. Still, the fact that they boast pop-up cameras and teardrop displays is interesting – if they can combine those features with budget prices then they could be onto a winner.
