Canon EOS Rebel SL3 Entry-Level Camera Announced

If you’re new to the world of photography and want to get your feet wet with a DSLR camera but don’t want to spend too much money upfront, then you might be interested to learn that Canon has announced the EOS Rebel SL3. This is the company’s latest DSLR in its entry-level Rebel series, but don’t let its entry-level status fool you.

The camera will feature the use of a 24.1MP CMOS sensor and will be powered by the DIGIC 8 image processing engine. It also sports a 3-inch LCD touchscreen display, and it will also support 4K video recording which means that videographers who need a camera for 4K footage, this could be one way to go about doing that.

According to Kazuto Ogawa, president and chief operating officer of Canon USA, “Since its inception, the EOS Rebel product line has aimed to provide imaging excellence for entry-level visual storytellers. Therefore, it was imperative that the next step in the EOS Rebel journey include innovative features such as 4K video and DIGIC 8 Image Processor to meet the needs of emerging photographers, while living up to the high-image quality and compact size EOS Rebel DSLRs are known for.”

If this sounds like a camera you think you can get on board with, then you might be pleased to find out that the camera will be sold body-only for $600 or $750 with the EF-S 18-55 f/4-5.6 IS STM lens lens towards the end of April.
