Elon Musk Expects A Cheaper Tesla In The Next Few Years

While we’re sure that there are probably a few out there who would be more than happy to adopt an electric car, the costs of such vehicles tends to be on the pricier side. Tesla’s cars are a perfect example, although the company has been trying to find ways of reducing the price through more affordable models like the $35,000 Model 3.

However in case the Model 3’s price tag is still a little out of your price range, not to worry because according to Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk, he has revealed that the company has plans to introduce even more affordable models. In a call with the media, Musk stated that the company plans on launching an even cheaper Tesla in the next 2-3 years.

Exactly how much cheaper it will be remains to be seen, but this is good news for those who want to own a Tesla or an electric car in general. We also expect that as technology improves, the costs of electric cars will also go down so Tesla might not be alone in introducing more affordable models for those looking to own a more sustainable car.

In the meantime there was a previous report that Tesla’s Model 3 costs the company $38,000 to make, meaning that at a price of $35,000, the company won’t be profiting off it.
