Kohl’s To Accept Amazon Returns At All Stores Nationwide

Kohl’s and Amazon began an experiment in 2017 to enable the latter’s customers to drop off their returns at the former’s stores. Customers could drop their items off even if they had been taken out of their Amazon shipping boxes. The trial was limited to some 100 stores in the Los Angeles, Chicago, and Milwaukee areas but it’s now being expanded in a big way. Kohl’s will accept Amazon returns at all of its retail locations nationwide.

Kohl’s confirmed today that it will accept free, unpackaged returns for Amazon customers starting this July. This program will be rolled out to Kohl’s over 1,150 locations across 48 states. Eligible Amazon items will be accepted without a box or label.

“We are thrilled to bring Amazon Returns at Kohl’s to all of our stores across the country,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s CEO. He added that “This new service is another example of how Kohl’s is delivering innovation to drive traffic to our stores and bring more relevance to our customers.”

This partnership certainly creates convenience for Amazon customers who are looking to return their eligible purchases. They can just drop them off at their local Kohl’s store. The items are returned free of charge regardless of the reason they’re being returned and whether or not they are packaged or unpackaged. Kohl’s will package and send all of the returned items to Amazon’s return centers on behalf of the customers.
