Larger 17-inch MacBook Pro Might Not Arrive Until 2021

It has been several years since Apple discontinued the 17-inch MacBook Pro, leaving users with the 15-inch model as the biggest one that they can buy. We’re sure that there are some who undoubtedly miss the 17-inch model and might have been excited at the possibility that it might return later this year.

Unfortunately, it seems that may no longer happen. This is according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who claims that Apple’s larger MacBook Pro might only arrive in 2021. According to the latest note issued by Kuo, he claims that the larger MacBook Pro might skip this year and launch in 2021 where it could use a micro LED display. This is said to offer up a wider color gamut and high contrast.

Apple’s laptops still use LCD but to be fair, the company’s MacBook Pros do have pretty bright and beautiful displays according to many a reviewer, so it is possible that the 17-inch model could be aimed at users who might require an even better display, maybe for video or photo editing purposes.

Previously Kuo had stated that the larger MacBook might be a 16-inch model, but now he suggests that it could go up to 17-inches. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but if you were hoping for a larger MacBook Pro this year, you might be disappointed.
