Lenovo ThinkVision P44W Monitor: For Professionals or Gamers
Lenovo is out with a new monitor aimed at professionals who require an ultra-wide display for superior productivity. The Picture-by-Picture mode allows them to manage two video inputs while the Picture-in-Picture made allows for improved multitasking.
The Lenovo ThinkVision P44W is a 43.4 inch borderless 1800R curved monitor with 32:10 aspect ratio and max 144Hz refresh rate with a 4ms response time. It also happens to be HDR400 certified. It’s a DWUXGA panel with 3840×1200 pixel resolution.
The stand that comes with this monitor has tilt, lift, and swivel functionality. There’s support for AMD FreeSync 2 as well. FreeSync is what AMD calls its adaptive synchronization technology. What it basically does is allow the display to adjust its refresh rate so that it’s the same as the render rate of the graphics processor. This helps to reduce screen tearing when compared to a monitor with a fixed refresh rate.
Customers will be able to get this monitor with an optional detachable Harman Kardon certified speaker. Connectivity ports include 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, DisplayPort, USB Type-C, audio out, and 4 USB 3.0 ports. The Smart Power functionality allows the monitor to charge up to two devices. The Lenovo ThinkVision P44W will be available starting April 2019 for $1299.99.
