OnePlus 7 Won’t Come With A Notch
Based on the leaked renders that we’ve been seeing, it seems that the company will not be including a notch in the OnePlus 7. Instead, the company will be adopting a popup camera. Wondering how true those rumors and renders are? Turns out that OnePlus has more or less confirmed it.
In an ad taken out in the New York Times, OnePlus has teased some of the upcoming features of the phone, one of which is the fact that it will not come with a notch in its display. It is an interesting turn of events as previously, OnePlus had encouraged their customers to embrace the notch, but now it looks like the company is done.
The ad taken out in the paper also seems to poking fun at the competition as well. One of which seems to be a jab at Apple with the “no random music” tagline, which could be referencing that time Apple thought it was a good idea to include music predownloaded onto the iPhones of their customers.
There could also be a dig made at Samsung where the tagline reads, “No $2,000 price tag”, which could be a jab at the Samsung Galaxy Fold which launched with a price tag of $1,980. Of course, whether or not OnePlus can walk the walk remains to be seen, but check back with on the 14th of May where we should have all the official details.
Yes Virginia, if it's in The New York Times, it's got to be true. Welcome to the world, One Plus! pic.twitter.com/leKjS801dN
