Pixel 3a Makes An Appearance On Google’s Store
For a while now we have been hearing rumors that Google could be working on a new budget Pixel handset known as the Pixel 3a. It was unclear when Google might launch these devices, but it seems that we could be getting pretty close to an official launch because according to a report from 9to5Google, the phone has been spotted on Google’s very own store.
Note that the sighting was not the phone itself, but rather a reference to the phone where the Pixel 3a name was explicitly mentioned. Unfortunately, details about the device are still pretty scarce, but there is a good chance that they might be launching soon. According to the rumors, there will apparently be at least two models: the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL.
This will be similar in concept with the Pixel 3 and 3 XL, except that these phones will sport lower-end specs. This includes the rumored use of the Snapdragon 670 and 710 chipsets, and where the Pixel 3a XL will have a slightly “taller” display. Both phones have also been rumored to be packing at least 4GB of RAM.
There is no word on when they will be released, but as we said, the sighting on the Google Store suggests that it could be soon. Google I/O is taking place next month so that’s always a possibility if we do not see it this month, but either way check back with us at a later date where hopefully we’ll have more details to share.
