Samsung Galaxy Fold Could Come To Verizon And Sprint

When the Samsung Galaxy Fold was officially announced, it was revealed in the press release that the phone would be coming to AT&T and T-Mobile, which meant that Verizon and Sprint were potentially left out of the loop. However thanks to digging by XDA developer deadman96385, perhaps Verizon and Sprint customers can expect the phone as well.

This is according to the firmware in which it was discovered that there are a couple of folders that reference Verizon and Sprint. While this is by no means a guarantee, since there is no official announcement yet, it could be a sign of things to come. We suppose it shouldn’t be surprising since Verizon and Sprint are two of the four major carriers, although we imagine that the reason why the phone was not announced for either carrier was because Samsung had to create a CDMA version of the phone.

As we said, there is no official announcement yet but hopefully we’ll have something soon. The phone is set to be released on the 26th of April where it will be priced at a whopping $1,980. It will be a very expensive handset and according to Samsung, it is expected to be a limited supply device too. Whether or not customers will bite remains to be seen, but we are excited to see what the future will be like for foldable devices.
