The Last Of Us Part 2 Release May Take Place On September 27th
There’s a lot of interest in the release of The Last of Us Part 2. The original title was very well received and fans have anxiously been waiting for its sequel ever since it was teased over a year ago. The developer hasn’t officially confirmed a release date at this point in time but a new report suggests that the title could be released on September 27th.
European retailer ProGamingShop has updated its listing for The Last of Us Part 2. It mentions September 27th, 2019 as the release date. Retailers normally have listings up for titles even before their release dates have been announced.
There have been instances in the past when the dates mentioned on such listings have proven to be accurate. So there’s a possibility that the retailer’s information may be accurate and the title may indeed be released on September 27th.
The date also makes sense because September 27th is a Friday. That’s when most big titles are commonly released. Sony Interactive Entertainment has often released games on a Friday in the past so there’s nothing preventing it from doing that again. It certainly has the space in its Fall 2019 release schedule to release The Last of Us Part 2, which is going to be an exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
Naughty Dog did say recently that the final scene of the game has been shot. It may still have a considerable amount of motion capture work left so perhaps the game may not arrive in September. Many are of the view that The Last of Us Part 2 won’t be released before 2020.
