Xiaomi Mi 9 Photos Revealed Ahead Of Announcement

Usually companies tend to wait until the official announcement before revealing their products in full. However in the case of Xiaomi, it seems that the company’s CEO decided to unveil their handset ahead of the official announcement, which for those unfamiliar is the Xiaomi Mi 9, the company’s next-gen flagship handset.

According to the details shared in the post, the phone will feature nano-level laser engraving and dual-layer nano-coating, which the end result will be a “holographic” like paint job, which kind of reminds us of the HTC U-series smartphones which also has a shiny holographic finish. We’re not sure if there will be more color options available, but for now the images only depict the phone in blue.

As for the specs of the phone, the official images does confirm that the phone will be packing a triple camera setup on the back. The phone also appears to sport a U-shaped notch on the front, and judging from the lack of a physical fingerprint sensor, we can only assume it will feature an in-display sensor.

As for the rest of the specs, it’s probably safe to assume that we’ll be looking at the use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and anywhere between 6-8GB of RAM. The phone is expected to be officially announced in the coming weeks at MWC 2019, so do check back with us then for the details.
