YouTube TV Price Has Now Been Raised To $50 Per Month

It’s not uncommon for streaming services to raise prices after a while and that’s something that YouTube TV is doing today. It’s going to be a bit more expensive now for subscribers at $50 per month. The base price for those who are directly subscribed through Apple TV will now be $55. This price hike is effective immediately for new subscribers and from May 13th for existing subscribers.

The Google-owned service is trying to make this sting a little less by offering some additional channels. As of today, eight Discovery network channels will be available on the service. They include the Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, MotorTrend, and Travel Channel.

The service is also adding OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network later this year. EPIX is now available for an additional charge on YouTube TV as well. With YouTube TV, subscribers get access to 70+ networks, six accounts per household with each having its own unique recommendations and cloud DVR with no storage space limits, and 3 concurrent streams.

All of this is included in the base cost of YouTube TV in addition to complete local affiliate coverage with local feeds from all four large broadcasters in over 90 percent of the markets where the service is available
